Dog in a navy spotted coat, walking joyfully along a wet sandy beach with the sea and reflection behind her

Ruby

Ruby, known to everyone as Ru, was an absolute princess. She came into her family’s lives at just two years old, rescued from a rescue centre. From that moment, she became the pinnacle of the family, the emotional heart and anchor that held everyone together.

Ru loved her toys and adored her walks, but nothing compared to being off the lead with room to zoom. It was on the beach that she was happiest of all. There was nothing quite like watching her run free with the wind behind her, pure joy in every stride.

Sadly, on the 13th of August 2026, at 12 years old, Ru’s family said the hardest goodbye to their bestest girl. She passed peacefully at home in her own bed, surrounded by the family who loved her, exactly where she belonged.

The Springfield Pet Cremation team were honoured to be entrusted with Ru’s care afterwards. Her individual dog cremation was carried out with dignity, respect and gentleness. She was treated with the same love and care that had surrounded her throughout her life.

Ru may no longer be running alongside her family, but the paw prints she left behind will remain in their hearts forever. Their lives were made richer, happier and more complete simply because she was part of them.

Sleep tight, beautiful Ru. Run free over the Rainbow Bridge, with all the room in the world to zoom. You will be remembered.
