Bailey was Mum and Dad’s beloved, beautiful girl. Their whole world revolved around her from the moment she arrived. Stubborn and cheeky, full of life and fun, Bailey did things her own way. Everyone in the family loved her for it.
Bailey had squeezed into the chair where Mum sat as if there was nowhere better in the world. She’d “talk” to Dad in her own special way, letting him know exactly when it was time for bed. On Mum’s days off, Bailey would lie beside her all day long, her beautiful shadow, always close, always keeping her company.
Bailey loved her boys too. Jacob, Tyler, Luke and Malakai all meant the world to her. Whenever Luke came over, great excitement was shown, as she knew walkies would soon follow. Time in the garden was always enjoyed, whether digging, sunbathing or playing with her favourite flamingo toy. And if cheese was so much as touched, Bailey could be guaranteed to appear from nowhere, convinced it was meant for her.
Each night, all four boys would be checked on to make sure they were safely tucked into bed before Bailey settled down with Mum and Dad, her paws resting on Dad’s arm and her head close beside him right where she belonged.
When Bailey became unwell, her family did everything they possibly could for her over nine difficult days; nothing mattered more than their girl. But sometimes true love means recognising when it’s time to let go, and to spare further suffering. On Friday the 7th, surrounded by the family who loved her so completely, Bailey peacefully crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The Springfield Pet Cremation team were honoured to be entrusted with Bailey’s care, where she was treated with the same love and gentleness she had been given by her family throughout her life, and her individual dog cremation was carried out with dignity and respect.
