Planning Ahead

Letter Of Wishes

Is it nearing time to say goodbye to your beloved companion? It’s important that you know you do have choices.

Many of us make plans for our own funerals or communicate our wishes to our families, but how many of us consider what to do when our companions pass away, Why don’t we make plans for them.

Having experienced this situation firsthand and faced with making decisions in haste, we believe it’s important to provide families the opportunity to plan for when the time comes to say goodbye to their companions.

It’s Your Choice

If your companion passes away at a veterinary practice.

Some veterinarians are unable to recommend our services because they are part of larger corporations that require them to promote their own options. We want to emphasise that the decision is yours regarding what you would like for your beloved companion.

You can ask your veterinarian to reach out to us on your behalf if your pet passes away whilst in their care, or suddenly as a result of a tragic decision you have had to make at the veterinary practice. If you have had to make the heartbreaking decision to take your companion to the veterinary practice at a set date and time, let us know in advance and we will be there to support you.

Sadly it not widely known that if your companion passes away and left in the care of your veterinary practice, without you specifying a preferred crematorium, they will automatically be sent to a contracted crematorium on a weekly run. This means your companion may be transported outside of your local area, alongside other animals awaiting cremation, with their ashes returned to your veterinary practice on the next scheduled collection where they will await your collection, at Springfield Pet Cremation your beloved companion is collected with respect and dignity and on their own, cremated individually, and transported back to their family as quickly as possible with ongoing support.

Here at Springfield Pet Cremation we offer free dignified collection, from the place your companion has passed, and or from your veterinary practice, normally within the first two hours of your initial contact with us, you have the choice to come and say farewell to your companion in our peaceful farewell room, knowing that they will be treated with dignity and respect, safe in the knowledge that only your companions ashes will be returned home safely to you, free of charge.

If your pet passes away at home, reach out to us and we will be with you as soon as we possibly can.

If you wish to use our services and your companion is at your veterinary practice, you can use this form to advise your veterinarian of your wishes and this will be noted on your companions records.
