My beloved companion has just passed away at home, what should I do?
Reach out to us immediately, we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we will be here to support you with what happens next, If your pet passes away out of our usual working hours you can contact us on either 01564 651759 or 07368401312, we will collect free of charge and usually within 2 hours of your initial contact with us, or if you prefer to bring your companion to us, we will await your arrival.
Do I have to leave my companion with the veterinary practice to arrange a cremation?
No, you have a choice what you want to do, you can either contact us directly and we will, with your permission liaise with your veterinary practice and arrange a direct collection, transporting your companion to our crematorium or if you would prefer to personally deliver your companion to us, we will await your arrival.
How can I be sure that my companion is individually cremated?
Here at Springfield Pet Cremation we only carry out individual cremations, we are fully licensed by DEFRA to carry out cremations on our own premises to their standards, all cremations are supplied with an individual cremation certification.
When will my companions ashes be ready for collection/delivered home to me?
Wherever possible we will endeavor to cremate within 24hrs of arrival, we may be able to offer same day depending on individual circumstances.
My companion is getting old or is unwell beyond any treatment, I am considering pet cremation, can I discuss the cremation with you and view your premises prior to the passing of my companion?
Yes, you can contact us during opening hours to arrange an appointment to visit us, we can discuss the options suited to your needs, this may help with the grieving process when the time comes to make the heartbreaking decision. We can also offer euthanasia at our premises provided by our local veterinary practice.
Do you charge for the use of your farewell room to say goodbye?.
Absolutely not, we see this as an integral part of the grieving process, saying goodbye in peaceful surroundings. Feedback that we have received from previous clients, is that of feelings of comfort seeing their companion at rest. We provide you with as much private time you need for you and your whole family including other companions to say a final farewell.
