Planning Ahead
Are you thinking of euthanasia for your companion?
Is it nearing time to say goodbye to your beloved companion? We believe it’s important to provide families with the opportunity to plan for when that heartbreaking time arrives.
At Springfield Pet Cremation, we understand how heartbreaking it is to say farewell to a beloved companion, having had to make this awful decision ourselves. When it’s time to say the hardest goodbye to your companion, we believe the experience should be handled with kindness, empathy, and respect.
We provide a personalised, compassionate pet euthanasia service to ensure that your companion’s final moments are peaceful, dignified, and surrounded by love.
Most euthanasia is sadly carried out within a busy veterinary practice, where your companion may already be experiencing anxiety by just being there, which in turn causes stress to their families at an already devastating time. Our euthanasia service offers privacy, calm and comfort during this emotional time.
We work alongside experienced mobile veterinarians, so whether you choose euthanasia within our beautiful farewell room or prefer for this to be carried out in your home. Our crematorium team will be by your side to provide support and ensure your pet’s final moments are peaceful.
The cost of euthanasia varies based on several factors, including the size and weight of your companion, your location if a home visit is requested, and your choice of cremation service. We are committed to providing a transparent and fair pricing structure to ensure you have all the necessary information before making this important decision.

It’s Your Choice
If your companion passes away at a veterinary practice.
Some veterinarians are unable to recommend our services because they are part of larger corporations that require them to promote their own options. We want to emphasise that the decision is yours regarding what you would like for your beloved companion.
You can ask your veterinarian to reach out to us on your behalf if your pet passes away whilst in their care, or suddenly as a result of a tragic decision you have had to make at the veterinary practice. If you have had to make the heartbreaking decision to take your companion to the veterinary practice at a set date and time, let us know in advance, and we will be there to support you.
Sadly, many pet owners don’t realise that when they leave their companion with a veterinary practice for cremation, the practice may arrange for them to be transported outside the local area alongside other pets awaiting cremation. The cremation provider will then return the ashes to the veterinary practice, and the whole process can take around 14 days.
At Springfield Pet Cremation, your beloved companion is collected with respect and dignity and, on their own, cremated individually, and transported back to their family as quickly as possible with our ongoing support.
Here at Springfield Pet Cremation, we offer free, dignified collection from the place where your companion has passed away or from your veterinary practice, within a 10-mile radius of Knowle. We will normally collect your companion within two hours of your initial contact with us, and you can choose to say goodbye in our peaceful farewell room. Your companion will be treated with dignity and respect throughout, and only their individual ashes will be returned safely to you, free of charge.
If your pet passes away at home, reach out to us and we will be with you as soon as we possibly can.
If you wish to use our services and your companion is at your veterinary practice, you can use this form to advise your veterinarian of your wishes and this will be noted on your companion’s records.
